A Midlothian pensioner caring for her husband with Alzheimer’s has been repeatedly targeted by thieves stealing milk from her porch.
Wishing to remain anonymous for fear of repercussions, she said she could do “without the hassle” of having bottles continuously swiped from outside their home.
The latest theft was captured by the couple’s Ring doorbell. It shows a young male, dressed in dark clothing with his hood up, taking the items from their doorstep on March 27 at 5.09am.

The couple are in their 70s and say that they do not know whether or not it is the same culprit returning each time to their home at The Square in Newtongrange.
On the thefts, she said: “This has happened three times now over a number of months. I got a Ring doorbell recently thinking the video camera would put them off, however on March 27 at 5.09am, a young guy climbed over the gate and took our milk.
“I don’t know if it's the same person as before because we only recently got the camera. It’s not a nice feeling to think someone is coming into the garden to take our milk.
“If they are that needy then I will be happy to give him a pint. We are in our 70s and I’m caring for my husband who has Alzheimer’s so could really do without the hassle of going out to get more milk.”
