Seven Midlands businesses have featured in a new list of the 100 fastest-growing firms in the UK.
The inaugural Growth 100 recognises and ranks UK private businesses whose founder or founders are still actively involved.
Businesses are ranked by compound annual growth rate in sales over the last two financial years.
To be considered for inclusion, companies must have sales of between £3 million and £200 million, been trading for at least three years and posted an operating profit in the latest financial year.
The seven Midlands businesses in the list are:
- James and James Fulfilment, transportation, logistics and storage, Northampton
- Lounge Underwear, clothing design and manufacturer, Solihull
- Safe Fence, wholesaler of building materials, West Bromwich
- Superior Wellness, hot tub and swim spa distributor, Chesterfield
- The Skinny Food Co, alternative food products, Nottingham
- Tile Mountain, retailer, Stoke-on-Trent
- Vanilla Underground, online retailer of official merchandise, Tamworth
Among those included in the list from elsewhere in the UK are Bold Security Group, Glencar Construction and Snag Tights.
The Growth 100 has been published FEBE which is a business group for entrepreneurs.
It has been backed by former BBC Dragons Jenny Campbell and Sarah Willingham, online flower retailer Bloom & Wild, ready meals firm Charlie Bigham's and Solihull sports nutrition business Grenade.
