Explosions were heard in Bahrain's capital on Thursday, an AFP correspondent in Manama said, moments after authorities sounded air raid sirens to warn of an attack.
The blasts followed a vow from Iran's Revolutionary Guards that they would "give a devastating response" to fresh American strikes on the Islamic republic's territory.
Kuwait intercepts missile and drone attacks, military says
Kuwait's air defences were intercepting "hostile missile and drone attacks", its military said on Thursday.
"The General Staff of the Army notes that any explosions heard are a result of air defence systems intercepting hostile attacks," the Kuwait military said in a post on X, without specifying their origin.

Amnesty accuses Israel of war crimes in Lebanon strikes
Amnesty International on Thursday accused Israel of wiping out families in its strikes on Lebanon during its war with Hezbollah, calling for the attacks to be investigated as war crimes.
Hezbollah drew Lebanon into the Middle East war on March 2 by launching rockets at Israel in support of its backer Iran.
Israel responded with major airstrikes and a ground invasion, killing more than 4,300 people according to Lebanese authorities, including more than 250 children.
Amnesty analysed three strikes on civilian homes between March 6 and 13, in which 24 civilians were killed, 12 of them children.
The London-based rights group accused Israel of "wiping out families" in those strikes and called for them to be treated as "war crimes".
Oil rises after fresh US strikes on Iran
US crude futures rose more than $1 in early Thursday Asia trading after the US launched fresh strikes against Iran.
US West Texas Intermediate crude futures were up $1.03, or 1.4%, at $74.55 a barrel by 2238 GMT.
Both crude benchmarks, WTI and Brent, rose more than a dollar in post-settlement trade on Wednesday after the US military began launching fresh strikes on Iran.

The US military is launching fresh strikes on Iran, the US Central Command said, hours after US President Donald Trump said that an interim agreement to end the war with Iran was "over".
It said the strikes were aimed at degrading Iran's ability to "threaten freedom of navigation" in the Strait of Hormuz.
