RMT Union leader Mick Lynch was praised by viewers of Good Morning Britain for standing his ground today.
More than 40,000 RMT members are expected to take part in new upcoming strikes in the lead up to Christmas. The walkouts are expected to happen on December 13, 14, 16 and 17 and then again in the New Year on January 3, 4, 6 and 7.
It comes as Mr Lynch said there had been no improved offer on jobs, pay and conditions, so more walkouts would go ahead. However, the strikes means disruption for travellers, workers, and shoppers in the run-up to Christmas.

With it being a hot topic, the union leader appeared on ITV's Good Morning Britain today as Susanna Reid and Richard Madeley grilled him over "ruining Christmas" for thousands of people and preventing others, such as nurses, from getting to work.
Susanna said: "You have said that you're not the Grinch who is stealing Christmas. Your issue is with the Transport Secretary, who on this programme you called a liar - I mean good luck with that meeting in the morning. The fact of the matter is it is train passengers who are going to pay the price in the run up to Christmas."
She went on to say that ordinary people who are earning a lot less will be unable to get to work or see their families. Then asked: "How are you not the Grinch who is stealing Christmas?"
But as Mr Lynch began to answer, Susanna began to speak over him. However, the union leader stood his ground as he hit back by saying: "You've asked me a question, let me answer."
He went on to explain that other dates have already been moved to help the public move freely on important dates and national events. Mick added: "Network Rail have already issued statutory redundancy notices for 3,000 jobs and they will impose that if we do not resist what they're doing and come to a compromise."
Fans on Twitter were impressed as Mick continued to stand his ground. Jon said: "Mick Lynch wiping the floor with Madeley and Reid. A man who knows exactly what he’s talking about. #gmb."
Kayleigh said: "Mick Lynch is boss!! Just put Susanna and Richard in their place!!! #GMB"
Imran said: "Mick Lynch tying the hosts of #gmb in knots is absolutely priceless to see!" Ade said: "Mick Lynch, yet again wipe the floor, with Reid & Madeley #GMB."
