Michigan State women’s basketball saw a nice jump in the updated Associated Press (AP) Top 25 rankings released on Monday.
The Spartans made their first appearance of the season in the rankings last week, and this week they moved up to No. 17. Michigan State moved up a total of seven spots.
Michigan State is a perfect 9-0 on the year, with the Spartans winning its lone game of last week against DePaul. The Spartans will next play on Sunday against Iowa.
A total of eight Big Ten teams were in this week’s rankings. UCLA and USC led the way at No. 1 and No. 5. Maryland was right behind at No. 7.
