Michigan State football plays Rutgers on Saturday, and if you’re wondering how you can watch the action live, you’ve come to the right place.
The Spartans enter this matchup 4-5 and looking to build off last week’s upset victory over Illinois. The Spartans will remain in position to reach a bowl game if they can knock off Rutgers.
Rutgers also comes into this game looking to keep its bowl-game chances alive. The Scarlet Knights are 4-5 as well but have dropped five of their last six games.

Players to Watch
Here are three players to watch for Michigan State in this matchup against the Scarlet Knights:
Payton Thorne (QB): Thorne played arguably his best game of the season last week against Illinois, and he’ll need another strong outing this week. Rutgers boasts a top-25 passing defense and is surrendering less than 200 passing yards per game. So this is another challenge for Thorne and Co.
Cal Haladay (LB): Haladay was a key factor in last week’s upset of Illinois and will need another big game this week against Rutgers. The Scarlet Knights offense isn’t particularly scary, but it does have the ability to run. With Michigan State potentially still missing players to suspension, Haladay will play a key role for the defense.
Jalen Berger (RB): The Spartans’ rushing attack hasn’t been great this year, but they received a solid performance from Berger last week with 81 yards on 15 carries. If he can match that again this week and Thorne can be solid in the passing game, I feel good about Michigan State’s chances at picking up the win.
