Michigan State is one win away from reaching bowl eligibility and they’ll have a chance to clinch that this week against Indiana.
The Spartans enter this matchup as a decent favorite after picking up back-to-back wins the past two weeks. Those two wins — and three in their last four games — has brought them back to .500 on the year and in position to reach the postseason.
Can Michigan State extend their winning streak to three games and more importantly clinch a bowl bid? Here are our score predictions for Michigan State-Indiana and how we see this Big Ten battle playing out:
Andrew Brewster
Prediction: MSU 31, Indiana 17
The Spartans have looked revitalized since their loss to Michigan, and I think they keep that going against a struggling Indiana team.
Cory Linsner
Prediction: MSU 38, Indiana 31
Indiana possesses a small matchup nightmare for Michigan State, which worries me about the performance of the defense. The offense will also need to bring their A-game to match Indiana.
Robert Bondy
Prediction: MSU 34, Indiana 17
Michigan State has the edge in talent and I like that the Spartans are playing for a trip to the postseason while Indiana is already out of bowl contention. That motivation factor is a big deal and helps me feel better about the Spartans chances to handle the Hoosiers in this game.
