Players to Watch
Here are three players to watch for Michigan State in this matchup against the Hoosiers:
Jalen Berger (RB): It’s November and in Big Ten country that means there’s a chance for snow. That’ll be the case on Saturday in East Lansing, Mich. so the Spartans may need to lean on their run game more — which isn’t so bad with how well Jalen Berger has played recently.
Cal Haladay (LB): Haladay has been the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week the past two weeks so can he make it three straight weeks this Saturday? He’ll need to continue to play at a high level to help contain the Hoosiers’ solid offense.
Ben Patton (K): Anyone who’s watched Michigan State this season knows field goals and extra points are always eventful. However, last week Patton hit a pair of late field goals that were the difference in the Spartans’ victory over Rutgers, and he could play a large role again this week.
