Michigan State football losing DBs coach to UCLA

New Michigan State football head coach Jonathan Smith poached former Spartan Demetrice Martin to be the team’s cornerbacks coach from Oregon. Now, Martin is being poached back to the west coast.

According to a report from On3’s Jim Comparoni Martin is taking the position as a defensive backs coach and passing game coordinator at UCLA, leaving his alma mater for another Big Ten school.

Now the Spartans will be faced with the task of replacing Martin on the staff, whether it be another defensive backs or something else on the staff, Smith will need to find a replacement, and quick.
