Michigan State is adding to its 2024 recruiting class, earning its first commitment as a result of June’s official visits: four-star Ohio safety Reggie Powers.
Powers is a native of Dayton, Ohio, attending Centerville High School. He stands 6 feet, 1 inch and weighs 195 pounds. According to On3, Powers ranks as a four-star prospect and the No. 33 safety in the class, while 247Sports has him ranked as a high three-star.
The Spartans won this recruiting battle over Ohio State, Northwestern, Pittsburgh and Cincinnati.
Powers visited East Lansing this past weekend. As a result of an outstanding visit, he cancelled official visits to home state schools Ohio State and Cincinnati.
