One of the big sub-plots of the Michigan State football offseason was the defensive line. A few key contributors had entered the transfer portal, and Maverick Hansen, the third most-played defensive tackle last year, was also deciding how he should use his last year of eligibility.
Now, it looks like the Spartans will be getting most of their core, at least the defensive tackles, back, as Maverick Hansen announced he is coming back for one more season on Sunday.
Hansen will now return with starters Derrick Harmon and Simeon Barrow.
