Michigan State will be playing host to the Niagara Purple Eagles this year to open the 2024-25 basketball season at the Breslin Center. Obviously, with the nature of this game, this will be an MSU buy game.
Thanks to The Detroit News’ Madeline Kenney, the dollar amount for the buy game has been released, and the Spartans will be paying the Purple Eagles $95,000 for the game.
Michigan State agreed to pay Niagara University $95,000 for this season’s men’s basketball game, scheduled for Nov. 7 at Breslin Center, according to records obtained via FOIA.
