Michigan State is considered the leader in the clubhouse for an elite power forward in the 2023 class.
Rob Cassidy of Rivals.com released a rankings of which schools currently have the best chance at landing four-star power forward Xavier Booker. In his rankings, Cassidy lists Michigan State as the No. 1 program.
Here’s a little of what Cassidy had to save about Michigan State and their recruitment of Booker:
“The pace at which things have moved between Booker and Michigan State is encouraging for Spartan fans, as the program was able to get the 6-foot-11 prospect on campus almost immediately after head coach Tom Izzo prioritized his games at a weekend grassroots event.”
Behind Michigan State in Cassidy’s rankings is Indiana (No. 2), Michigan (No. 3), a mystery program (No. 4) and Purdue (No. 5).
Booker is ranked by Rivals as the No. 38 player in the 2023 class. He hails from Indianapolis, and is listed at 6-foot-11 and 215 pounds.
