Michigan neighborhoods devastated after deadly tornadoes: Video

Powerful storms have ripped through parts of Michigan, flattening homes and killing at least eight people.

The tornadoes and strong storms have also injured more than a dozen in southern parts of the state, and left hundreds of residents without power, local authorities said.

The National Weather Service said an initial assessment confirmed that an EF3 tornado with winds of at least 150 mph (241 kph) struck the Union Lake area on Friday.

Drone footage captures houses in Michigan without roofs, scattered debris, and uprooted trees, as the recovery effort continues.
