A Michigan factory employee is accused of stabbing his company's president while horrified colleagues watched on, court documents revealed Wednesday.
Nathan Mahoney, 32, joined Anderson Express in Muskegon as an accountant earlier this month, FOX 17 reported.
On Dec. 17, Mahoney allegedly walked into a company meeting and stabbed the manufacturing company's president, Erik Denslow, with a knife under his ribs. He was transferred to a nearby hospital where he immediately underwent surgery and is expected to make a full recovery.
Mahoney fled in a vehicle but was arrested in a backyard less than an hour later, according to FOX 17.
He was arraigned on Wednesday, and his bond was set at $500,000 for an assault with intent to murder charge. Mahoney was also charged with fleeing and eluding the day of the alleged assault and a separate bond of $1,000 was set.
The suspect has not yet spoken to police.
"We're not speculating on any motive in this case. But despite whatever redresses you might have against any individual, you cannot act violently against that person under any circumstances," Matt Roberts, a trial attorney for the Muskegon County Prosecutor's Office, told FOX 17.
