Michigan children set up a lemonade stand after 13-year-old cheerleader Lainey Scroggs died; it raised over $1,000 as her family fundraiser reached nearly $74,000

When a family loses a child unexpectedly, there is little anyone can say or do to take away the pain. But in Lambertville, Michigan, a group of children found their own way to show the Scroggs family that they were not alone. After 13-year-old Lainey Scroggs died following a medical emergency, the children decided to set up a lemonade stand in her memory and use the money to help her family, as reported by 13 Action News(WTVG). What started as a simple neighbourhood gesture quickly turned into something much bigger. The stand brought in more than $1,000, while a separate fundraiser for Lainey’s family raised around $74,000 as donations continued to come in.
