Former first lady of the United States of America Michelle Obama left fans filled with delight when she got up on-stage in Barcelona at Bruce Springsteen's concert.
Joining singer-songwriter Bruce Springsteen for backup vocals at a packed concert in Barcelona, Spain on Friday night (April 28), Michelle, 59, left onlookers and concertgoers in a state of awe.
In videos and pictures taken by attendees and then posted online, Michelle could be seen playing instruments and providing backing vocals for the legendary singer.
Singing the hit Glory Days on-stage with Bruce and the E Street Band, Michelle could be seen getting into the groove while tapping on a tambourine rhythmically.
With her hair styled in a half-up-half-down look, Michelle could be seen donning what looked like some blue wide leg cargo trousers, a matching blouse and a black blazer with a brooch on it.
Fans of the former first lady were quick to react on social media to her surprise appearance on-stage, with many taking to Twitter.
"Michelle Obama with Bruce Springsteen in Barcelona. WOW," penned one fan in disbelief.
Another added: "Michelle Obama living her best life."
While a third wrote: "This makes me so happy! Bruce and band workin' hard while his wife and her girlfriends are partying the night away. I'm all weepy lol @MichelleObama is our forever cool Queen!"
TMZ and other outlets report that Michelle was also joined by film director Stephen Spielberg's wife Kate Capshaw.
The concert took place at Barcelona’s Lluis Companys Olympic Stadium on Friday, which came after Barack Obama, Stephen Spielberg and Bruce Springsteen dined out the night before.
According to Reuters, the trio enjoyed a lavish meal at the Palace Hotel, with them even posing for a snap.
A photo of the trio posing with some of the restaurant staff was uploaded by employee Pol Perello with the caption: “The pleasure this job brings you!”
Bruce is currently touring around Europe with the E Street Band, with them heading back to America in August for another slew of shows.
Hitting the stadiums in the states in the late summer, they'll then tour a string of arena dates in the fall.
Their final performance of the year will be on December 8 at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California.
