Michelle Obama turned Céline Dion's long-awaited return to the stage into a fashion moment of her own, attending the singer's September 12 concert in Paris in a slate-gray maxi dress from Diotima, the label founded by Jamaican-born designer Rachel Scott. The dress featured a curved neckline, a sculpted drop-waist bodice and deep navy velvet detailing along the waist and shoulders, according to Vogue, which photographed Obama arriving at the venue.

The dress is identified as the Diotima Basseterre style from the brand's Spring/Summer 2026 collection, retailing at $1,695. Obama paired the look with a black suede Liffner Pushlock clutch and matching pumps, a combination that also nods to the suede accessory trend gaining traction across fall 2026 collections from labels including Mansur Gavriel and Miu Miu.
