Michelle Keegan has thrown her support by one of this year's Love Island stars as she told her to "go and smash it".
The actress took to her Instagram story to post a photo of Lana Jenkins, who is set to enter the winter version of the hit dating show.
The 35-year-old knows the make-up artist, who will be appearing in the winter series, due to working with her on Sky comedy Brassic.
"So our girl @lanajenkinss is going into @loveisland," Michelle wrote on Instagram.
"Genuinely one of the nicest girls you'll ever meet. Go and smash it darlin."
Lana is no stranger to a life of fame as she has already done makeup for a lot of celebs, including Michelle.
The 25-year-old is set to join the likes of P.E teacher Kai Fagan and biomedical science student Tanya Manhenga in the villa.
Lana from Luton has already said she tends to fall in love quickly and that could happen during her reality show stint.
She said: "I fall in love quickly. I tend to know quite soon if I could fall in love with that person and then, as long as everything is going well, I’ll probably tell them I love them in about a week."
However, she said that she tends to get the ick, especially if her other half has a specific texting habit.
Lana said: "I don’t mind people texting me all the time but if you send me question marks if I’ve not replied to you in a while, you’re gone.
"That's a really big red flag for me! Also if I see a guy trip over, that's an instant turn off."
Lana has also dated some familiar faces in the past.
After Hollyoaks star Owen Warner split from fellow soap actress Stephanie Davies, he had a brief romance with Lana in 2020.
However, it seems that the romance only lasted a few months as they decided to go their separate ways.
Before her appearance on the winter edition of Love Island, she was asked about her claim to fame.
She said: "In my work as a makeup artist I’ve worked with lots of celebrities. Also, when I was 6 years old I used to live in Spain and I was in an episode of Benidorm as an extra."
The new series is set to involves some new twists including Maya Jama taking on the role of hosting the show, taking over from Laura Whitmore.
The winter version on Love Island first graced our screens back in 2020, but was later put on hold due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Love Island is set to return on Monday 16 January 2022 on ITV2.
