Actress Michelle Keegan has shared a message of support for one member of the new Love Island cast. Make-up artist Lana Jenkins was announced to be joining the villa earlier this week. Read more about this year's Islanders here.
Reposting Lana's casting announcement to her Instagram Stories, Michelle wrote: "So our girl @lanajenkins is going into @loveisland. Genuinely one of the nicest girls you’ll ever meet. Go and smash it darlin."
This wouldn't be Michelle's only connection to Love Island's 2023 cast, either. New Islander Olivia Hawkins has worked as her body-double in the past.

Lana is a makeup artist from Luton and in her show bio, she revealed that she's painted many famous faces. "In my work as a make-up artist I've worked with lots of celebrities," Lana said. "Also, when I was 6 years old I used to live in Spain and I was in an episode of Benidorm as an extra."
Meanwhile, Michelle's body-double Olivia said in her bio: "I did a film with Jason Statham and had a nice 10-minute convo about life. I've been a ring girl for KSI, I played a waitress in a James Bond film with Daniel Craig and I’ve also been a body double for Michelle Keegan and Emma Watson."
Love Island returns to ITV2 on Monday, January 16 at 9pm. For everything you'll need to know ahead of the new series, read here.
