Michelle Heaton reveals she drinks five Red Bulls to help her sobriety at big events

Michelle Heaton has credited energy drinks with helping her to get through big events, saying she "took time" to learn how to enjoy herself.

The 42-year-old Liberty X member has been open about her history battling alcoholism, spending six months at Priory last year. She recently celebrated 14 months sobriety.

Michelle attended the star-studded Caudwell Children's Butterfly Ball on Thursday (July 7) and has told Mirror Online how she stays sober during these big events.

The mum-of-two, who is an ambassador for the charity, said she no longer struggles going to events: "It was at the beginning that’s why I didn’t attend these things but I took my time and recognise when I needed to leave events early and now it’s good I can’t wait to enjoy myself.
