Three Northern Irish restaurants have retained their Michelin star status for 2022.
It comes as the Michelin Guide today announced new stars for restaurants across the UK and Ireland. These stars are given to restaurants judged to be of a particularly high standard, with one, two or three star gradings being awarded.
While there were no new winners for Northern Ireland this year, all three previous Michelin star winners from here retained their status for the year ahead.
This means that Ox Belfast, Deanes Eipic, and the Muddler's Club all keep their single-star grading, once again proving that the Northern Irish culinary scene is thriving.
Elsewhere, Co Antrim-raised chef Clare Smyth retained 3 Michelin stars - the highest possible grading - for her London-based restaurant CORE.
Clare, who was raised on the countryside in Antrim, opened her CORE restaurant in 2017. It was awarded three Michelin stars in 2021, which made her the first Northern Irish chef to have a restaurant awarded three Michelin stars.
Down south, Dublin's Chapter One and Blackrock's Liath restaurant were both awarded two Michelin stars this year, where they joined previous two star award winner Patrick Guilbaud.
