A high-class Italian restaurant in Edinburgh's New Town has joined the other two venues owned by the Rocca Group in the newly released Michelin Guide 2022.
Rico's Ristorante, located on North Castle Street since July 2021, is part of restaurant entrepreneur Stefano Pieraccini's Rocca Group and is one of the capital's top destinations for an exceptional Italian dining experience.
Named after the owner's grandfather, Rico's Restorante is Stefano's third location to be added to the prestigious gourmet list. The entrepreneur's other two dining places, The Seafood Ristorante in St Andrews and The Broughton in Edinburgh, have already been in the guide.
Reflecting on the great news, Stefano said: "It's an incredible honour to have all three of our restaurants included in this year's Michelin Guide. It's the result of our entire team's hard work, dedication, and talent, and it's an accolade we don't take for granted.
"I am overjoyed that our newcomer, Rico's Ristorante, has joined our flagship restaurant, The Seafood Ristorante, and gastropub, The Broughton, on the guide - it is both humbling and gratifying."
The top-rated restaurant is praised for using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients for its exquisite dishes and proves to be a must-go for all Italian cuisine lovers.
On the guide's website, the Michelin critics said: "Head to the bar for cicchetti and cocktails or through to the elegant dining room for classic Italian dishes which are bursting with flavour. Pasta is homemade and local produce to the fore, from East Neuk crab to Tweed Valley rib-eye."
