Michael Stewart pointed the spotlight on Rangers' "incredible" run of no league penalties conceded after Connor Goldson appeared to get away with one against Aberdeen.
Dons boss Barry Robson was left raging at a "definite" foul in the box on Duk that went unpunished as Rangers eventually picked up a narrow 1-0 win through Todd Cantwell's volley. January 2022 was the last time the Ibrox side conceded a penalty in the Premiership - ironically against Aberdeen, when Lewis Ferguson earned the Dons a point from the spot - and it's a run which now spans 52 league games.
The defeat also ended Aberdeen's impressive run of seven wins in a row which encompassed five consecutive clean sheets, although Hearts also losing to Celtic means it was no ground lost for Robson's men. Stewart's focus was on the two longstanding runs though - one which came to an end, and the other which didn't.
He posted on Twitter: "Aberdeen’s incredible run of clean sheets and victories came to an end at Ibrox while Rangers incredible run of no penalties against continued, incredibly."
Speaking after the game, Robson was in disbelief that his side couldn't take something after creating a number of big chances, especially in the first half. And the non-penalty award was also fresh in his post-match thoughts.
He said: "We all saw the brilliant chances that we created in the game, especially the first half. We had two clear-cut one on one chances, there was a definite penalty as well first half. So that's three goals you could have had.
"I think Kelle (Roos) had one or two good saves and then second half, I thought they scored a terrific volley but it's our fault from a set play. Apart from that, Kelle never had much to do.
"Rangers are always going to have possession with the might them and Celtic have, it's hard for other teams to come and get the lion share of possession. What you can be is organised and structured and we were that and on another day we could've come away with a few points more"
