Michael Sheen has taken to social media to announce the birth of his third child. The Hollywood star shared earlier this year that his actress partner, Anna Lundberg, was expecting another baby.
Writing on Twitter on Friday, May 20, Michael wrote: “And just like that…. There was another monkey jumping on the bed #190522” accompanied by a photo of his baby’s small hand. An announcement has yet to be made on the gender or name of the baby.
The snap shows the baby's tiny hand clutching a finger and the infant is dressed in a pink and white striped babygro. Good Omens and Dolittle star Michael, 53, and Swedish actress Anna, 27, already share a two-year-old daughter, Lyra. Michael also has a daughter from his relationship with Kate Beckinsale, 23-year-old Lily Mo Sheen.
Anna, famously appeared alongside her partner in the lockdown comedy, Staged, in which he plays a fictionalised version of himself alongside Doctor Who’s David Tennant.
In an interview with the Radio Times last year, Anna said it was nice to have Michael at home during the lockdown and with filming Staged. She said: "The luxury of Michael just being at home has really been amazing and Lyra has certainly loved it. Otherwise Michael’s always sort of popping in and out and now you’ve really been able to fully be here. We’ve been able to connect together as a family, and that routine has kept us sane."
The couple made their first public appearance in May 2019 at the screening of Good Omens in New York. Just a few months later, in July 2019, they announced they were expecting their first child together. Anna regularly shares pictures on her Instagram account of the family.
In an announcement on March 1, 2022, Michael took to his Twitter to share the news of his second child with his 580k followers, where he tweeted: "…..it appears there may be another on the way! #AngelDelight"
Meanwhile, Anna shared the same picture as Michael via her Instagram showing their hands on her baby bump with the caption: "At these dark times, here's our little bit of light that we can share".
