Michael Schumacher's family are planning to take legal action after a German magazine published a fake interview with the former Formula One star that was generated by artificial intelligence.

A spokesperson for the Schumacher family confirmed to the Reuters news agency that they were looking to take legal action.

Die Aktuelle, the magazine in question, ran a picture of a smiling Schumacher on the front cover of their latest edition along with the headline "Michael Schumacher, the first interview."
