Michael Owen swerved the Love Island airport pick-up as daughter Gemma and Luca Bish touched down in the UK with their other finalists on Wednesday afternoon.
Arriving at Stansted, Gemma, 19, was greeted by her mother and her siblings - but there was no sign of her famous footballer father.
It is perhaps Michael's biggest hint yet he doesn't approve of his daughter's partner, after fan speculation has been rife about what the Owen family think of the Brighton fishmonger, 23.
As Gemma arrived in the UK, she appeared emotional as she hugged her brother James, 16, and sisters Emily, 14, and Jessica, 12.
Fans have been wondering what the 42-year-old footballer thinks of Luca after he failed to mention him when they placed second in the final.
Michael, instead, shared a picture of him and Gemma at a plush family dinner alongside a short but sweet caption which read: "She's done us proud."
He shared the same snap on his Instagram but opened up more in the caption, telling his "special girl" to "hurry up home".
Gemma's mum Louise had earlier given her daughter a message for her from her dad while in the villa, saying: "Honestly, he is really proud of you, really proud."
Earlier this month Michael revealed he would not be jetting off to Mallorca as he's busy with his horses.
Speaking to Sky Sports' At The Races after watching his horse Box to Box run, the football pundit was quizzed about if he will be making the journey to the villa. He explained: "My wife will do that duty. I'll represent the horses and she'll represent the daughter."
He added: "I don't know what I'll get from Box To Box. But I know what I'm going to get from my daughter.
"I've fathered her for 19 years so I'm pretty sure what I'm going to get from her."
Gemma, meanwhile, shared a snap of herself with the fishmonger from Brighton cuddling up together at the airport to her Instagram Stories – amid fan theories she is distancing herself from him on social media.
"Home time [white heart emoji]," Gemma captioned a snap of Luca with his arm around her to her 1.3million followers the morning before they boarded the flight.
