Michael Mosley's quick breakfast idea that can help you lose weight and stay full

Michael Mosley has shared a breakfast that can be made 'in minutes' that contributes to a healthy weight loss regime.

As one of the UK's most popular figures in the diet industry, Michael has released a number of different books around the Fast 800 diet that are designed to help people see sustainable results.

The expert also often posts helpful advice on his online site and Instagram for people to check out if they need inspiration. One of his latest articles is about how to fuel your mornings and feel satisfied for longer throughout the day.

Coventry Live reports that the article also explained the 50:50 rule of a Keto diet - keeping your carbohydrates under 50g but your protein intake above 50g.

And the breakfast he recommends is packed with protein, which will keep you full and make you less likely to snack.

The diet guru revealed that eggs can be a great weight loss tool and a mushroom omelette is one of his favourites.

He wrote: "Boiled, poached, scrambled or as an omelette - they'll keep you feeling fuller for longer compared to cereal or toast."

This is because eggs are high in protein, vitamins and won't raise your cholesterol if you eat them with something healthy.

In a video for Healthista TV, Michael chose a mushroom omelette, with onions and spinach which can be flavoured with the likes of garlic, turmeric and chili flakes for breakfast.

You can also use your breakfast to maximise your weight loss potential if you're doing an intermittent fast overnight.

Michael Mosley wrote in the Daily Mail last year: "When you get up in the morning, you may be in a rush to tuck into your breakfast and get out of the door. Or you may be happy to hold off eating for a while (a lot of people find they don't get hungry until later in the day).

"One reason why you might want to delay breakfast if you're not ravenous is that, by doing so, you will be extending your overnight fast (i.e. how long it has been since your last meal)."
