Michael McIntyre 's The Wheel has divided viewers in the US after having made its debut earlier this week on NBC.
The quiz show – which launched two years ago in the UK – sees contestants answer a series of questions. They are assisted by celebrities, who each have a topic of expertise.
Each episode, hosted by comedian Michael, 46, ends with one contestant being given the opportunity to win a cash prize. The stateside version has a prize of up to $100,000.
After the quiz show's popularity in the UK, The Wheel debuted in the US on Monday (December 19). It is set to air weeknights on NBC for another week, with 10 episodes due to have been broadcast over its two-week run.
Viewers seemed to have been divided over the game show across the pond, though. Some have taken to Twitter in recent days to share their thoughts on the newly-launched series.
One tweeted: "I absolutely loved it." They further commented following the broadcast of an episode: "Hope it gets picked up for a second, hopefully longer, season."
Another said: "I am so loving #TheWheel!" A third wrote: "This was a lot of fun to watch". Another said: "Enjoying #TheWheel. Kind of curious about the British version now."

Another said: "I am enjoying our adaptation of #TheWheel so far. So use[d] to it without commercials but we're making it work." Another viewer described it as "super fun".
"That was a ton of fun. I'm planning on continuing to watch," tweeted one viewer this week. Aa another said: "I'm really shocked at how many negative reviews #thewheel is getting. I really liked it. It was fun and different".
Some viewers weren't impressed though, with one tweeting: "I don't know what this show on [NBC] is... #TheWheel ? Oh wait a minute... yes I do.. it's boring, stupid, c**p."
Another said: "Did anyone genuinely enjoy it? It was incredibly too stale for me." A third wrote: "Too damn slow. Halfway through, and they've asked a half dozen questions."
"I wanted to watch this [because] of the celebs and the questions being easier for all. But there is too much time spent on the wheel [itself]," tweeted one viewer this week.
Another felt similarly, writing: "They spend more time d***ing around with the wheel than playing the game. Two whole questions before the first commercial."
"When compared to The Wall, this new game show is a joke. Hopefully, if it even makes it for 2 weeks, that's the end of it," another said. One viewer dubbed it "utterly unwatchable".
The UK version of the Wheel, which debuted in 2020, is now into its third series. It will return for a festive special on Christmas Day, with it set to air on BBC One from 6.25pm.
The US version airs weeknights on NBC from 10/9c.
