Michael Madsen arrested at home just one month after son Hudson's suspected suicide

Michael Madsen was arrested at his Malibu home on Wednesday evening - pictured in handcuffs as three police cars escorted him to the hospital, then the station.

The 64-year-old Kill Bill star's arrest comes just weeks after his son Hudson reportedly took his own life at the age of 26.

Authorities confirmed Hudson died by a self-inflicted gunshot wound in a suspected suicide, on the island of Oahu, Hawaii.

Michael was arrested for trespassing - the Los Angeles Sheriff's Department confirmed to Daily Mail.

The LA Sheriff's Department website also shows the star was booked just after midnight on Thursday, with bail set to $500.

According to The Sun, footage shows the actor with his hands restrained behind his back as he's escorted to a nearby police car by an armed officer.

Three police cars arrived at Michael's home at around 9.30pm last night. He was then transported to West Hills Hospital, and he was seen leaving the hospital hours later.

He was then booked at the police station just after midnight.

Michael's son Hudson was godson of his dad's close friend, director Quentin Tarantino.

Michael has appeared in films such as Thelma & Louise, Donnie Brasco and Die Another Day. He also had a role in several episodes of action drama TV series 24 in 2010.

The family said in a statement the day after his heartbreaking death was announced: "We are heartbroken and overwhelmed with grief and pain at the loss of Hudson.

"His memory and light will be remembered by all who knew and loved him."

Hudson was living in Wahiawa, Hawaii with his wife, Carlie.

Michael said his son had just completed his first tour in the Army and had spent time in Afghanistan.

Hudson's death was confirmed in a statement by the Department of the Medical Examiner in Honolulu.

A spokesperson said: "I can confirm Hudson Lee Madsen, 26, died by a gunshot wound to the head in a suspected suicide on the island of Oahu."

The Mirror has contacted Michael's representative for a comment.
