Michael Kim WITB 2026: What Clubs Did The American Use To Shoot A 59 On The PGA Tour?

Michael Kim walks off the green, with a close up of his bag.

After claiming victories on the PGA Tour and DP World Tour throughout his career, Michael Kim produced a highlight moment at the 2026 3M Open, carding just the 15th 59 in PGA Tour history.

Making 12 birdies, six pars and no bogeys at TPC Twin Cities, the American's round was the first 59 in over 18 months, with the Titleist staffer using the brand's clubs to good use in Minnesota.

Looking through his bag, Kim uses a near full set-up of Titleist golf clubs, with the GTS2 driver featuring at the top end. It is set at 11° and has a Fujikura Ventus Red 6 X shaft in it.

Away from the driver, the PGA Tour winner has two TaylorMade fairway woods, specifically a Qi4D HL 3-wood and a Qi10 HL 7-wood.

HL stands for high launch and possesses a slightly higher loft than that of standard 3-woods and 7-woods.

The Qi4D HL, for example, is set at 16.5° and the Qi10 HL at 21°. Shaft-wise, a Graphite Design Tour AD UB 7 X is found in the 3-wood, while a Graphite Design Tour AD UB 8 TX is in the 7-wood.

Moving to the irons, where Kim uses two of the best Titleist models money can buy, with the T250 and T100 present.

Like many Titleist staffers, he has a T250 4-iron for more forgiveness, as the T100 features from 5-iron to pitching wedge. Both models have Nippon NS Pro Modus3 Tour 120 S shafts.

In terms of wedges, you'll find the Titleist Vokey SM11 in a 52° and 56° configuration, as well as a Titleist Vokey WedgeWorks in a 60°.

Ranked as the best wedges on the market, the popular True Temper Dynamic Gold S300 shaft features in all three lofts.

The final club in Kim's bag is the putter, which is another TaylorMade model, specifically the 5K-ZT, a zero-torque putter that was put in play around three years ago.

Commenting after his Open De France win in September 2025, Kim wrote on X/Twitter: "(It's) very easy to start putts online. I’ve always had trouble pushing putts and I don’t push putts as often anymore.

"That’s the biggest and really only benefit to these putters. I’ve been one of the top putters inside of 8ft as those are way less speed dependent and way more start line and set up dependent."

Finishing with the golf ball, where Kim uses the Titleist Pro V1x, one of the most popular and best premium golf balls money can buy.
