Michael Keaton recently shared his admiration for Jenna Ortega during an interview at the premiere of his upcoming film Knox Goes Away. The 72-year-old actor expressed his excitement about reprising his role in the sequel to the 1988 classic Beetlejuice, titled Beetlejuice Beetlejuice.
Keaton praised his new co-star, 21-year-old Jenna Ortega, who plays the daughter of Winona Ryder's character in the film. He commended Ortega's talent, stating that she effortlessly grasped the tone of the movie and seamlessly integrated into the cast.
The sequel is being directed by Tim Burton and produced by Brad Pitt's company, Plan B. In addition to Keaton, Ryder, and Catherine O'Hara, other returning cast members include Willem Dafoe and Justin Theroux, with their roles yet to be disclosed.
New additions to the cast include Monica Bellucci, rumored to be playing Beetlejuice's wife. The film is expected to hit theaters on September 6, 2024.
In a previous interview, Keaton expressed his joy in working on the sequel, describing it as the most enjoyable experience he has had on set in a long time. He emphasized the fun atmosphere during filming and the excitement of revisiting the beloved characters and storyline.
