The NRG Stadium roof may have been closed, but the stars were out in full effect on Monday for the highly-anticipated 2024 College Football Playoff national championship game.
An epic final between the No. 1 Michigan Wolverines and No. 2 Washington Huskies saw thousands of fans head to Houston for the clash. However, few shots of the jam-packed crowd gave viewers more to look at than one of a star-studded stadium suite, featuring Michael Jordan and Derek Jeter.
As if Jordan and Jeter weren’t enough, the sports icons were also spotted alongside rap megastar and Houston native Travis Scott and CFB legend and analyst Desmond Howard. Oh, and there was, of course, another big-time appearance on the ESPN broadcast by ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith—making for a who’s who best described by ESPN’s Kirk Herbstreit as “the box to be in.”

Given the talent shown on camera, it’s likely that there were even more stars hiding somewhere just out of frame.
