A few former Dallas Cowboys publicly expressed their bitterness after the team’s 48–32 wild-card playoff loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday.
One of the more intense rants came from former Cowboys receiver-turned-analyst Michael Irvin. The Pro Football Hall of Famer posted a video on X, formerly Twitter, and poured his soul out about how frustrated he was with the Cowboys after yet another disappointing postseason defeat.
“Every damn where, all across this country, all across the league they stood up to defend their city and defend their team, except in the city that deserved it the most. Except the team that’s most recognizable and deserved it the most,” Irvin said. “When I got here, I understood the men before me. They built the Dallas Cowboys. They made this America’s Team. They put a championship on the table before I got here. My job while I was here was to match what they have done because they built it.”
I am so hurt and I am so pissed!!!! @dallascowboys fans #cowboysnation you deserve better. I had to cut this down to make it fit!!!! pic.twitter.com/AexLsONmfJ

To end his rant, Irvin pleaded for the Cowboys to start fresh and clean house in the organization. He didn’t name any specific people, but observers already are wondering if coach Mike McCarthy will be fired.
“Put my damn championship on the table! That’s all we asked!” Irvin continued, this time shouting. “Put your damn championship on the table, and you couldn’t do it! All their a---- gotta go!”
Another former Dallas receiver, Dez Bryant, also shared his frustrations throughout the game on X.
The Cowboys’ roster and coaching staff definitely will be scrutinized in the coming days and weeks as owner Jerry Jones navigates some difficult decisions.
