Michael Flatley diagnosed with 'aggressive form of cancer' as fans asked for 'prayers'

Michael Flatley has been diagnosed with "an aggressive form of cancer".

A statement posted to the dancer's social media accounts confirmed the news as it asked fans for their "prayers and well-wishes".

It said that the Riverdance creator has undergone surgery and is being cared for by a team of doctors.
