Patrick Bergin revealed his pal Michael Flatley "is doing great" following his cancer battle.
The Dublin Star is hopeful a sequel to the super hoofer’s self funded debut Blackbird is on the cards.
Patrick, 72, told the Irish Sunday Mirror: “I hope there’s a sequel because he deserves it. He’s very talented in everything he does.

“He did a great job, imagine being able to direct and star in a film.
“I think he has it in him to do an even better one.
“He’s talking about another one alright, I’d love to work with him again.
“It was a stylish movie.”
Bergin who played the role of Flatley’s spy boss in the largely panned flick added: “Unfortunately I only got to London.”
“The next time I’ll make sure he writes me into the Barbados scenes.”
Commenting on his Lord of the Dance pal’s health, he said: “He’s doing so great, I saw him about a month ago.
“His show was excellent and he was in Budapest last month.
“He’s so spiritual.”
The Sleeping with the Enemy star lives with his partner Helen Goldin in their renovated Emmel Castle near the town of Cloughjordan on the border of Offaly and Tipperary.
Flatley who also restored his mansion Castle Clyde in Cork is set to visit the pair.
Said Patrick: “He’s got an open invitation to come down.
“Michael has a beautiful Castle we’ve visited.”
“He’s hoping to come to the show and then to our Castle.”
Speaking ahead of his role in the Best Exotic Marigold Hotel at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre on May 16th to 20th, he said: “Marigold is all about hope and second chances.
“I play Norman, a dirty old man, but really he’s flirty.
“When we meet him he’s lost his wife.
“He goes out to India to see if there’s a possibility of meeting someone else.”
The Hollywood movie star who has amassed over 100 movies said visitors have flocked to his lordly estate.
He said: “People come to Ireland specifically to go around every Castle and I’d be on the list.
“A visitor from America wanted to put their relatives' ashes in our Castle.
“They had been here 15 years ago on holiday, but we had to decline it.”
With no sign of slowing down, the actor plays an action hero coming out of retirement in the Athena Syndrome, shooting in Malta this year.
When quizzed on retirement, he quipped: “What’s that word? I don't know how to spell it.
“It’s about how you feel.
“I finally get to play James Bond, jumping off boats and trains.
“I like to reverse my age and say I’m 27.”
