Michael Conlan's shorts worn during devastating Leigh Wood defeat make £20,000 for charity

The green shorts worn by Michael Conlan during his dramatic world title fight with Leigh Wood have fetched a cool £20,000 (€24,000) for a Belfast charity.

Conlan auctioned off his boxing shorts with all money raised going to the West Wellbeing organisation, a suicide prevention group based in the Colin area of West Belfast.

Conlan is an ambassador for the charity which has delivered over 1,000 hours of free mental health support in its first months of opening, reports Belfast Live.
