Michael Conlan has called for an immediate rematch after his devastating loss to Leigh Wood on Saturday.
The Belfast man battled for a world title on Saturday night and looked well on his way to glory with an early knockdown.
And in a thrilling fight, Conlan was on the receiving end of a number of devastating blows in the final round before being knocked out.
The Belfast man was rushed to hospital but thankfully was well enough to take to social media to provide a number of updates.
And the two-time Olympian called for an immediate rematch when taking to Twitter.
He said: "Definitely want a rematch lol"
And followed that up by saying: "Watched the fight, I definitely need to run it back! Up on the cards & 11th was a slip, fatigue was kicking in & I was caught on the temple with a good shot I didn’t see. Respect @itsLeighWood congrats again, your a tough fucker but let’s run it back @EddieHearn #CityGround"
And fans agreed saying they wanted to see a rematch Shamrock Rovers footballer Jack Byrne saying: "Everyone wants to see that again top class mick keep the head up what a performance"
While another said: "I loved that fight! You’re the best champ. This weight is perfect for you. Run it back!"
And another added: "Good to see you're OK mate. That was probably the best fight I've ever seen, credit to u both u put on a masterclass for 11 and a half rounds and that was some determination from leigh. Would love to see that again"
