Michael Carter is only in his second season in the NFL but his leadership and maturity level are already at such a high level. Take Wednesday, for example.
Normally, running backs coach Taylor Embree leads the group during film sessions. Wednesday wasn’t a normal day, however. Embree had to miss practice but for a very good reason. He and his wife, Kristina, were welcoming their third child together.
So the running backs needed someone to lead the group. Enter Carter, who stepped up and led the backs on their film session. Carter led his group, which now currently also consists of Ty Johnson, Zonovan Knight and the newly-acquired James Robinson.
Embree told reporters Thursday that Carter is someone that always acts older than his age. For him to step up like that at just 23 years old is a testament to him as a person and shows the running back room is still in good hands even with Breece Hall out.
RB coach Taylor Embree’s wife had a kid yesterday, so Michael Carter ran film room with the running backs after Wednesday’s practice.
