Michael Bisping makes 'massive' Paddy Pimblett prediction ahead of UFC London

The UFC returns to London tonight with Paddy 'The Baddy' Pimblett set for his second outing since joining the promotion last year.

It's set to be a stacked card full of exciting British fighters, with Pimblett being named on the main card, coming up against veteran Kazula Vargas. Vargas, who lost on UFC 261, has a 1-2 record since joining the company, with one of his losses coming by way of a controversial disqualification.

Pimblett announced himself in the UFC with an empathic win last year, knocking out Luigi Vendramini in the first-round. Since then, the Liverpudlian has quickly risen to stardom.

The company had earlier looked to sign Pimblett on two other occasions but he turned them down. Last year, he made the decision to join and hasn't looked back since.

His name has been discussed by a number of UFC fighters, who are looking to face him in the future, with Pimblett refusing to acknowledge those calling him out - only growing his stature amongst fans.

The legendary UFC fighter turned commentator Bisping is a huge fan of his game and predicts there is plenty more to come.

Bisping told the ECHO: "He’s a very good mixed martial artist. It’s still early days in his UFC career, obviously he’s only had one fight but he had a great debut, he’s very exciting – he’s got a huge reputation coming from Cage Warriors and deservedly so.

“He can grapple, he can strike, he’s motivated and he’s got charisma, he’s a massive star already – we haven’t seen a rise like this for a fighter to have only had one fight and be this popular. But he’s got to win fights. I look forward to seeing the rise.”

Bisping will hold in-ring interviews with all the winners on Saturday night, with thousands hoping to see Pimblett come out victorious.

Bisping has a documentary being released next week - you can watch the trailer here.
