Michael Beale has been urged to bring in a 'big statement' signing to replace Malik Tillman.
The USA international spent the season on loan from Bayern Munich at Ibrox after being snapped up by former boss Giovanni van Bronckhorst. The deal did initially include an exclusive option to make the move permanent but the Bundesliga giants moved the goal posts amid interest from a number of clubs. The Ibrox men will be compensated.
Tillman had a big impact while in Glasgow scoring 12 goals and providing five assists in all competitions. The Ibrox side have already started a major summer overhaul with the likes of Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos departing with contracts expired. Four players have come in the door so far with Sam Lammers the latest recruit from Atalanta in Serie A. He will be joined by pre-contract trio Jack Butland, Kieran Dowell and Dujon Sterling.

Plenty of ins and outs are still expected in Govan this summer, but former star Charlie Adam wants his old club to look to bring in a player who can make a 'big statement' in the group and bring both goals and assists to the table.
Speaking to Football Scotland he said: "He's a top young player and he showed signs of being quality but Bayern obviously have different ideas for him now and that's something Rangers will have to get over.
"Rangers will have probably known about this in the last couple of weeks in terms of the vibe they were getting from Bayern and where it was going to go and they'll have started looking - they would've been anyway - at different options and there's no doubt they'll bring in other players in that position.
"He's a young player who's played in a top club in Bayern, he got used to Rangers who are a big club and hopefully Michael Beale can bring in somebody who can replace him and bring goals, assists, and make a big statement in the group going forward."
