Michael Beale to Rangers sparks 'fuming' QPR chairman social media uproar as Ibrox deal edges closer

QPR chairman Amit Bhatia has sparked a social media storm after liking a Tweet that slammed boss Michael Beale as his move to Rangers gathers pace.

Beale is the leading candidate to replace Gio van Bronckhorst with the Rangers board in negotiations with Steven Gerrard's former assistant and Loftus Road chiefs over a move after making their formal approach for the boss. However, Beale's interest in a return to the Scottish Premiership has caused an angry response from the QPR fans with their manager turning down the Wolves job just a month ago.

In the midst of the backlash Beale deleted his Twitter account while posts on his Instagram have now had their comments turned off and fans can't post any messages to him. However, that hasn't stopped the chairman of the English Championship club. When Beale turned down the opportunity to move to the Premier League Bhatia lauded his manager for the "trust" he showed when "he stood at a crossroad".

That tone appears to have quickly soured after he liked a post that was heavily critical of the Beale. It read: "Actually low that Michael Beale, who talks very high (well thought he did) speaks highly of the owners, fans and what he is doing at QRR then sees Rangers offer him a job and does a runner, deletes Twitter – the lot!"

The owner was tagged in the tweet which added: "That’s low… @Amit_Bhatia99 must be fumingggggg." After Bhatia then liked the post QPR fans shared the post stating it was proof of the chief's anger at talks with Rangers.
