Rangers have made their move to make Michael Beale their next manager.
The QPR boss has been heavily rumoured to be the main man Ibrox chiefs want to succeed Giovanni van Bronckhorst, who was sacked earlier this month after falling nine points behind Celtic in the Premiership title race. It's now reported by The Telegraph that Rangers have an 'official approach' to QPR and 'talks are understood to be progressing and Beale in pole position to take over (barring a late u-turn).'
It'll mark a return to Govan just 12 months on from leaving Glasgow for Beale, who worked as Steven Gerrard's assistant during his stint in charge at Ibrox. He also served as his number two at Aston Villa before becoming his own man at Loftus Road in the English Championship, where he has the London club firmly in the promotion play-off mix. But rumours of an exit have never been far away.

Despite only being appointed in the summer, Wolves have already had an approach to make him their next boss turned down.
The lure of his former club looks set to be too hard to turn down though and fans will hope he's the man to turn the tide.
Players will return shortly from their World Cup break and Beale will need to act fast to resurrect any hopes of a serious title charge.
