Michael Beale has revealed Kemar Roofe faces another FOUR WEEK spell on the sidelines.
The Rangers striker climbed off the bench at Hampden last weekend to fire home what proved an extra-time winner against Aberdeen to set up a League Cup Final showdown with Celtic - but had to come off after a nasty looking fall. The 30-year-old was in clear discomfort as he walked off the pitch at the national stadium and now faces a short period out. He WON'T need surgery which will come as a major boost to both the player and the management team.
Providing an update on the striker, Beale said: “It will be four weeks. With Kemar we’re not going down the surgical route with it. It is one that is in between giving it time or surgery.

“Kemar has decided he wants to do that. He’s feeling better but it will be three of four weeks until we see him back. Probably the middle of February in time for the cup final. Good timing.
“It was dependant on what the specialist said to be honest, whether an operation or letting it try and heal was better. Antonio Colak will be back. We have a massive support everywhere we go, it really helps us, particularly in a tough cup tie. It is a challenging game on a tough pitch, the most important thing is we come away with a win and into the next round.
"No performance in football is perfect, we scored three great goals to secure three points at Kilmarnock and there were areas we want to improve. It is important we are still in the hat on Saturday evening."
The Rangers boss has also revealed things are moving closer on additions to the squad. Todd Cantwell is one name heavily linked with a move north of the border with reports claiming a deal has been struck with both Norwich City and the player.
But all focus is on the Scottish Cup clash with St Johnstone with NO deals announced before the game is played.
The Light Blues gaffer added: "We are very close with one or two bits in the window.
"Nothing will be announced before this game, our focus is on this game. he squad is definitely getting stronger. It is important we recruit for the areas I think we need.
"The players we get in the building with that hunger and drive will help us all improve together. It's important I can bring people in who can drive us forward over the next couple of years.
