Michael Beale plans further Rangers talks with futures still to be decided over 'one or two'

Michael Beale admits more Rangers departures could happen with 'one or two futures' to be ironed out.

The Light Blues announced that Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Kent, Filip Helander, Scott Arfield and Allan McGregor will be moving on at the end of their contracts as the five stars got a big send off from the Light Blues faithful following the midweek draw with Hearts.

Both Morelos and McGregor started the Ibrox share of the spoils while Arfield climbed off the bench. Kent and Helander are sidelined but both entered the pitch at full time to say goodbye and receive an ovation from the supporters in the ground.

The recruitment drive is underway with Kieran Dowell already in the door after penning a three year pre-contract from Norwich City. Beale expects plenty more arrivals to come in on top of further exits with talks to take place in-house with a couple of players.

Jack Butland was quizzed on a switch north of the border while on Manchester United duty from a fan and gave a one word response while the likes of Dujon Sterling, Auston Trusty, Luis Palma, Morgan Whittaker and Ike Ugbo have been mentioned as potential targets.

Beale said: "I think we'll look at the squad. There's one or two futures of the boys in-house that I want to speak to them about and organise as well.

"I think we'll look to replace in positions we lose but it's clear that we're going to need four or five [additions] regardless of that."

On Steven Davis, he added: "Listen, he'll be in and around the first team as a normal player in terms of his rehab and then there will be a decision.

"I think at this moment in time, Steven's got a real burning desire to play and we want to help him get back to that. He's a hall of fame player here and it's the wrong way for him to end in a training ground accident or incident.

"So it's important Steven's motivation is to get back and play and me as the coach and everybody here at Rangers from John Bennett down wants to help him have that option.

"Nobody knows how that rehab is going to go at his age but at the moment he's able to make a decision, then Rangers will."
