Michael Beale was praised for talking about QPR “with such pride and honesty” after speaking at a school in London as speculation rages that he is set to leave Loftus Road for an emotional Rangers return.
A delighted punter took to social media to post a photo alongside the R’s gaffer and former Ibrox coach following a talk at St Paul's Way Trust School in Tower Hamlets. He wrote: “Great to meet @MichaelBeale today. His talk to the young people was great, really inspiring. He talks about @QPR with such pride and honesty too. Thanks to @StPaulsWayTrust for inviting me along.”
But some responded to the Twitter post to point out the fact Beale - who deleted his Twitter account on Thursday - is on the brink of departing the west London side after just six months at the helm with Rangers set to make an official approach to talk to the 42-year-old about becoming Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s successor. One fan said: “… before going back to Glasgow?”
Rangers chiefs Stewart Robertson and Ross Wilson were snapped in London as they hold talks over the next Ibrox boss but Beale is yet to sit down with his former bosses and instead the only talks he was having was with pupils at the London school.
Beale took training on Thursday and reportedly held talks with the QPR owners and is expected to give them his decision in the next 48 hours with Rangers hopeful of unveiling a new boss on Monday to give them time to get settled before a return to action against Hibs at Ibrox on December 15.
