Michael Beale has opened up on his Rangers return for their clash with Aberdeen as he described his visit as 'long overdue'.
The QPR boss - who is continuing to make a big name for himself south of the border - was in the stands as the Light Blues hammered Jim Goodwin's men 4-1. He departed Glasgow a year ago with Steven Gerrard following his appointment at Aston Villa after he decided to call time on his spell at Ibrox for a crack of the English Premier League.
Beale decided to go out on his own in the English Championship and has already been linked with a number of top jobs after a stunning start to life in the dugout. He's described Rangers as a 'wonderful' club while he believes the World Cup break will come at the perfect time for under pressure Giovanni van Bronckhorst with the Ibrox men now trailing Celtic and Ange Postecoglou by seven points at the Premiership summit.

He told Sky Sports : "It's a wonderful club, I had a fantastic time there.
"My daughter was born there (Glasgow) and my family loved it.
"We left one-year-ago this weekend. I hadn't had the chance to go back and say goodbye to people.
"I'm really friendly with a lot of people on the board and I've got a lot of friends in the city in general after living up there.
"It was a visit that was long overdue."
Fan unrest is growing following poor performances and results for Rangers, with Van Bronckhorst in the firing line after defeat in Perth. They also dropped recent home points to Livingston while suffered a terrible Champions League group stage campaign.
Beale added: "I think the international break may come at a good time for a few managers that are in that situation.
"It's a long slog, they had a great pre-season and they qualified for the Champions League.
"I thought they were drawn in a lovely group with Ajax, Napoli and Liverpool but a bit of an unfair group as well, so it was rough on him."
