Michael Beale offers Rangers summer transfer clue in open admission

Michael Beale has offered a sizeable clue with regard to the scale of his Rangers transfer business this summer.

The Englishman, 42, has been open and honest about the need to freshen up this Light Blues squad at the end of this season.

The Ibrox manager has already identified a number of key positions he'd like to bolster, including the goalkeeping department.

Todd Cantwell and Nicolas Raskin were the only two additions to his squad in January. Both players were very much a clear indication of where he sees the team going in the next couple of years.

Now, Beale has admitted that he's well aware that his group of players will be "completely different" come the beginning of pre-season.

“I have to tackle each game as it comes,” he said. “The three games [against Celtic] are going to be different. From no away fans to a 50-50 split at Hampden. That’s going to have a difference on everything.

“For us as a team, it’s been a long time since I came in. The last time we lost in the league was the first week in November.

“We’re now into April. It’s been a long time, 20 weeks of good form in the league.

“We just need to keep repeating it. I don’t care if we don’t get any praise from outside, I’ve got to see the progress inside.

“I’ll judge us on the next game, but listen I know this group is going to be completely different in 11 games' time. But I can’t deal with pre-season until this season is done.”
