Michael Beale's ambition to have Rangers competing with the best in Europe provoked a predictable response on the Hotline, while Graeme Shinnie’s four-game ban row continued to rumble on.

Where is the money coming from and who the hell is going to come to Scottish football, and especially to skint Rangers? He talks some nonsense to brainwash the supporters.”

There is no end to the man’s gallusness. Going to to compete with elite in Europe he says. His team can’t compete with the elite in Scotland let alone Europe.
