Michael Beale insists Willie Collum got all three big Ibrox calls right in the 2-0 win over St Johnstone - by the letter of the law.
The Light Blues were awarded an early penalty - converted by James Tavernier - when the ball hit James Brown's arm after it had bounced off Connor Goldson while Nicky Clark was sent off for a high challenge on Ryan Jack who subsequently only landed a yellow card for a sliding challenge on Adam Montgomery.
Beale said: “The penalty was harsh. Their player was close to Connor Goldson when the ball hits his arm. His arm was out, and it’s the rule but it’s harsh. The officials are only applying the rule and I think it’s something we should look at – everyone in football is in agreement with that. That’s what they seem to be giving them for these days.

“Nicky is not trying to catch Ryan Jack. He’s trying to pull away. But he caught him under the knee which is very high. It’s unfortunate, there’s no malice but I think VAR called it right.
“In Ryan’s one, his foot is flat to the floor and their man gets their first and nicks it away and again there is not enough aggression, it’s a standard yellow card."
Beale reckons his team could have won by five such was their dominance and hailed debutant Todd Cantwell - especially as he hadn't played since November.
He added:“We were the dominant team. One or two decisions went in our favour which their management team weren’t happy about but I’m delighted we’ve got three points and it’s onwards and upwards.
“We scored two goals and if it had been three, four or five I don’t think anyone could moan because their keeper had at least three big saves and also our finishing should have been better.
“It’s been mentally a tough week for Todd but I wanted to get him out there and I thought his relationship with Malik, Ryan and Alfredo was really, really good. On another day he might have got a goal. I thought he was outstanding. I thought he was the bright spark of the day."
